So one of the inspirations for this blog was something I like to call “Hotel Adventures.” Has nothing to do with being blonde, but it DOES have everything to do with adventure!
It occurred to me a long time ago that there are all these fancy hotels I dreamt of staying at, but in most cases I couldn’t afford to spend the night there. Besides, it’s pretty random just to stay at a hotel for the sake of staying at a hotel. Cost-benefit ratio just ain’t cuttin’ it, friend! So I thought why not partake in their uniqueness (yes, it’s a word…I checked) and grandeur now without paying a dime! They can’t say “Get out!” if I’m just walking through…right? After all, who says you have to stay there to know what it’s like? And why pay gads of money (in some cases) to stay at the “it” hotel when maybe there’s a hotel around the corner that suits your style way more?
Being the adventurous blonde that I am, I started going to the ritziest hotels I could find. You know, the ones that are intimidating and seem so untouchable (unless you’re a celeb, of course)? The discovery aspect was like a sugar rush for me (literally, I’d get giggly afterwards!) You travel into a new world for a moment, and you can be whoever you want! Such fun!
I told people about these little excursions. Much to my surprise, people started asking me things like, “How do you have a ‘Hotel Adventure’? What are the best hotels? Why don’t you share the knowledge, blondie?” As the last question began to surface more often, I decided that I’d devote a page on this here bloggity-blog to these excursions.
I hope these little posts offer a glimpse into some hotels you’ve always wondered about…=)
